OBJECT: | Reduce lumps of polyethylene terphthalic resin coke in acetic acid/terphthalic acid/toluic acid below 3 mm. | PROBLEM: | Slurry fills up strainers with oversized lumps. Lines need to be opened to air and operator contact. | RESULTS: BENEFITS: | Model 3 x 1.5 Dicon ran continuously for 18 months without requiring breakdown of lines to in-line basket strainer. Significant labor savings - lowered reporting of line openings (environmental). | AB MIXER: | Model 3 x 1.5 Dicon with 4 KW EEXD 3,000 RPM motor and 1/8” discharge. | EQUIPMENT REPLACED | Basket strainers. |
