OBJECT: | Disperse polymerization activator into continuous stream of acrylic monomer resin. | PROBLEM: | Monomer resin is sticky and viscous. Activator must be quickly dispersed to correct concentration | RESULTS: | Minor volume stream of activator is dispersed directly into the major stream of monomer through a port in the rotor/stator high shear zone. | AB MIXER: | Model 1020 Cavitron. | BENEFIT: EQUIPMENT REPLACED | Complete mixing is nearly instantaneous causing increased polymer yield and reduced negative side reactions.
