Description 

OBJECT:

Fertilizer.  Disperse Hydroxide salts plus an organic compound into water.

PROBLEM:

 Difficult to wet out dry material.  Took 1-3 days with propeller mixer.

RESULT:

 Reduced time to 1/2 to 1 hour.  Mixer is started in 70% water in down-mode and 25% solids added into vortex.  Then mixer is reversed into up-mode for final dispersion.

AB MIXER:

SOLD - Model C-3-1, 42" immersion, 5-3/4" rotor and 20 HP X.P. motor used in 70" diameter tank 60" high.

EQUIPMENT REPLACED:

 1/2 HP propeller mixer
