Description
OBJECT:
Disperse PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone) into polyethylene glycol (PEG-13).
PROBLEM:
A gel is formed in this dispersion step and viscosity of finished project reaches 85,000 cps. Batch mixing in 2,000 liter tank required 15 hours.
RESULTS:
6 x 3 Dicon installed in series downstream from double diaphragm used to vacuum in-line PVP and disperse with powder induction wand in only 5 hours.
