OBJECT:	Iron vitamin suspension into soybean oil.
PROBLEM:	Provide stable dispersion for uniform addition to food product. Maintain temperature below 110 deg. F to prevent damage to vitamin compound.
RESULT:	Mixer is stared in down-mode in soybean oil and iron compound fed into vortex for prewetting and predispersion. Mixer is then reversed to up-mode to complete suspension.
AB MIXER:	C-1, 33" immersion, 3-7/8" rotor, two-speed 5/2.5 HP motor. Mixed in cooled, jacketed tank. Low speed permits "agitation" to obtain good heat transfer.
EQUIPMENT REPLACED:	Propeller mixer which gave inadequate dispersion and allowed material to settle out or stratify.
