Polydextrose bulking agent.

PROBLEM:

A candy recipe requires 70% by weight polydextrose and water.  Purchasing this material as a liquid is 15-20% more expensive than buying the dry ingredient and mixing on site.

RESULT:

AB MIXER:

Two Model D-6000 Dispershear in sequence combining polydextrose into water at a dry delivery rate of 200 pounds per minute can produce a 55% by weight concentration one pass.  Returning the stream to a second D-6000 allows increase to a concentration in excess of 70% by weight.
