OBJECT:	Prewet and disperse silica powder 1.5 to 2% concentration and other additives into water.
PROBLEM:	Disperse above in minimum time to achieve a fine dispersion.
RESULT:	Powder added to down-mode vortex and predispersed for 5 minutes. Then, operated in up-mode for 15 minutes. Resultant mixture gave fine dispersion.
